I really should be sleeping.
But I'm blogging instead.
I'm really overheated right now. I usually sleep in pajama pants and a t-shirt, and I had to go with shorts today because I'm so freaking hot. I've been really thirsty lately as well, and I slept in until nearly 3 pm. I've really got to take better care of myself, because I can't afford to be getting sick before I head off to England.
I'm so, so excited to go. I miss Glen so much... I haven't seen him since February. It's been really hard being away from him, but seeing him in person for almost three weeks is going to be fantastic.
And I'm excited to see England. Glen's promised to show me all over, which is great. I've never been to England, so everything is going to be new and exciting. This is only my second trip to Europe; I went to Scotland in 2000 with my high school band, which was amazing. I'd love to go back and see everything again someday.
I can't wait to see London especially, and hopefully we'll get to Stratford as well. It's so weird saying "I can't wait to go to Stratford and London" since I grew up in Stratford, Ontario, and I live in London, Ontario. I've had people before (mostly on the ship) think I'm from England because of that, and they were confused because I didn't have an English accent! (I'd love to have an English accent... although having an Irish accent has always been my first choice... sorry Glen!) I wonder if people in England are going to think I'm American. I've been told before that I have a Michigan accent, which makes sense in a way, since Detroit is ridiculously close to where I live. But still... Canada definitely does not equal America junior!
I made a small dent in my boxes today... got some items priced for the garage sale and did some sorting and tossing. This is a good start... progress is being made... verrrrrrry slowly but better slow than never. Admittedly I was supposed to have two boxes sorted per day, but being the procrastinator that I am, that didn't happen.
(My mother is a saint for putting up with all this crap everywhere.)
I really should be getting to sleep... I need to get up and get working hard on the boxes, and there's still a lot of stuff I have to do before I fly out... I have to book transportation to and from the airport, I need to buy some stuff (mainly an electrical adaptor) and I would like to have a pedicure before I go (that's a bonus though). And I have to pack! But I have six days... I just have to make them six very productive days.
